The New CMD (Center for Media Design) at Santa Monica College is located in the heart of Silicon Beach.

KCRW relocated from their existing location at the main campus where they were housed in a basement for nearly 35 years. The new open plan design now allows for greater communication and collaboration between both students and faculty alike. The challenge we faced were the hundreds of various options requested and presented to the client regularly in order to meet their budget, aesthetic and functional needs.

This is where the expertise and experience of our team was able to deliver on our promise with real-time updates made across all referenced files, top-notch project managers and a communicative framework that all parties involved were a part of. We were able to meet our clients’ needs and in some cases, exceed them. Pacific Office Interiors has been involved in this project since 2014 and we are overjoyed at the outcome of these efforts for SMC faculty, staff and students alike.

We can announce that we will be continuing our relationship with Santa Monica College in the coming years and look forward to working with their dedicated and professional team of movers and shakers and bringing the forthcoming design to fruition.
